Privacy Policy

1What we collect

• Account data: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares with us.
• Your content: the prompts you write, the files you upload, the links you add, your revision requests and the Videos we make for you.
• Billing data: your plan, purchases and credit history. Card details are handled by our payment partner; we never see your full card number.
• Usage and device data: pages you visit in the app, actions you take, errors, IP address, browser and device type.
• Messages: what you send us when you contact support.

2How we use it

• To make, revise, store and deliver your Videos.
• To run your account, sign you in and keep it secure.
• To process payments, credits and refunds.
• To answer support requests and send service emails, such as sign-in links and receipts.
• To prevent fraud and abuse and to enforce our Terms.
• To understand how LaunchCut is used and to fix and improve it.

3Your content and AI

To make a Video, your prompts, uploads and reference links are processed by automated systems, including AI models run by our service providers. They process your content only to provide the service to us.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not publish your Videos or uploads without your permission.

4Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process your data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in running a secure and useful service, to meet legal obligations, and with your consent where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run LaunchCut: cloud hosting and storage, AI processing, voice generation, email delivery and customer support tools. They act on our instructions.
• Our payment partner, Creem, which processes payments as merchant of record under its own privacy policy.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of LaunchCut.
• A buyer or successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under the same protections.

6International transfers

Our providers may process your data outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. When we transfer data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we use safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

7How long we keep it

• Account data, as long as your account is open.
• Your uploads and Videos, until you delete them or close your account.
• Billing records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Logs, for a limited period for security and debugging.

8Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email hello@launchcut.co from the address on your account and we will respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.

9Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as your theme. We do not use advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

10Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and private storage. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we will tell you about a breach that affects you as the law requires.

11Children

LaunchCut is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

If we make a significant change, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
